Creator Of Salsa With Juan

Juan Gil is the creator and founder of Salsa With Juan. With over 20 years of experience, Juan is the "master instructor/teacher of teachers" who loves dancing and has introduced thousands of people to the wonderful world of dance known as Salsa. 

Juan has created a system of teaching and a time tested curriculum that makes it possible for anyone to learn to dance. His greatest joy is seeing the growth of a dancer that once came into class shy and doubtful of their abilities, and watch them blossom into a confident dancer - confident on the dance floor and in life!

Juan was originally born in Guatemala before coming to the states. He previously taught in the Los Angeles Area before coming to the Bay Area in the early 2000’s. Juan has taught all over the globe:  Puerto Rico, Hawaii,  Alaska,  and throughout the United States; also He has taught in Europe, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and South America.

All of his experiences in dance over 25 years, has helped Juan perfect his system of teaching dance. His instructors, co-instructors and Salsa With Juan mentors have all adopted this system of dance to teach based on this time-tested curriculum.

In Addition to teaching, Juan performs, coaches, judges and creates choreography for special events such as weddings , Quinceaneras, etc. 

Juan is also experienced in event management, team building events for companies, DJ, and Master of Ceremonies. He has been involved with many Salsa Congresses as well as Bachata/Salsa festivals.
